Innovate UK Business Growth
Are you an entrepreneur with ambitions to change the world? If you’re looking for expert, one-to-one support to help your business grow, expand overseas or develop new technologies, you can access funded innovation advice and support through the team at Innovate UK Business Growth, a programme delivered through Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.
DIATOMIC Innovation Accelerator
The DIATOMIC Accelerator provides an opportunity for innovative West Midlands companies to apply for funding for trials, as well as benefiting from expert support. Innovative small-to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can apply for support and funding to trial solutions in response to one of four challenge areas identified by Birmingham City Council. The DIATOMIC Accelerator is led by Connected Places Catapult in collaboration with Birmingham City Council, STEAMhouse and the GBCC.
Women Entrepreneurs Pitch Competition
According to the Gender Index, during 2024 just 5% of private equity, 3% of angel and 0% of venture capital investments in the West Midlands went to women-led businesses. We’re looking to change that. The Women Entrepreneurs Pitch Competition gives high potential women-led businesses the opportunity to connect with, and pitch to, leading investors. It is brought to you by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce in partnership with NatWest and the British Business Bank.
