Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP)
Innovate UK’s Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) helps innovative SMEs to collaborate and explore global markets, accelerating business growth.
Each GBIP, focused on a specific market and technology or sector area, involves a cohort of up to 15 ambitious innovative UK businesses looking to grow and scale globally. The programme aims to help businesses explore future opportunities and to better understand what is needed to be successful on the global stage.
The GBIP provides detailed market knowledge, cultural insight, and introductions and connections, opening doors that SMEs might find difficult to do themselves. Each business is supported by an Innovate UK Business Growth innovation and growth specialist to help maximise the potential of being part of the programme and beyond.

The GBCC is a delivery partner for Exporting Starts Here, commissioned by the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) and funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). This initiative empowers small and medium-sized businesses across Coventry, Solihull, Birmingham, and the Black Country to thrive internationally.
Global Incubator Programme (GIP)
The Global Incubator Programme is an acceleration programme for innovative SMEs to grow and scale through exploring the potential of global markets.
To successfully scale your business globally you need to understand the requirements of different markets and build the necessary partnerships, collaborations, and networks. The Global Incubator Programme supports cohorts of up to 8 innovative UK SMEs to spend time working with world-leading incubators abroad to accelerate their global growth.
The programme currently operates in the USA, India, Canada, Singapore and Australia.
Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)
Innovate UK Business Growth is the International Network Partner for Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) in the UK. Enterprise Europe Network is the European Commission’s main market access and innovation growth service, which connects participating peer organisations in over 65 countries worldwide.
Our specialists provide access to comprehensive and tailored advice covering both the UK and international markets. They build on a heritage of collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network, the most extensive association of innovation and growth support organisations around the world.
