Kaleidoscope Plus Group is participating in The Big Give Christmas Challenge, a transformative week-long match funding event that will double the impact of every donation made to their Building Resilient Young Minds campaign.

Running until tomorrow, every pound donated will be matched pound for pound by Simon Foster, West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, the Reed Foundation and The Big Give, meaning double the donations and double the difference for young people in need.

The focus of this year’s campaign is addressing the urgent mental health needs of children and teenagers.

The charity says one in six children aged 6–16 are likely to experience a mental health problem and 50 per cent of all mental health issues beginning by age 14.

The declining mental health of children is devastating lives, families, and communities—but Kaleidoscope Plus Group are determined to act before these challenges reach crisis point.

Funds raised during the campaign will go directly toward supporting young people across the West Midlands.

The initiative will deliver specialised training to youth groups, schools and local organisations, enabling participants to identify early signs of poor mental health.

Simon Foster, the Police and Crime Commissioner for the West Midlands, said: “I’m delighted to support this initiative. It is important that we act now.

“By equipping local leaders and empowering our young people, we’re laying the foundation for a brighter, healthier and resilient future for the next generation.”

Calum Nisbet, CEO of Kaleidoscope Plus Group, said: “This is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.

“With every pound donated being doubled during The Big Give Christmas Challenge, we can amplify our impact, reaching more young people and equipping them with the tools they need to build resilience and thrive. Together, we can create a brighter future for the next generation.”
