YMCA Sutton Coldfield has been nominated for a trio of accolades at the forthcoming Youth Matters Awards.

The organisation has received nominations in the YMCA of The Year, Young Worker of the Year and Housing Project of the Year categories.

The nominations recognise YMCA Sutton Coldfield’s dedication to positively impacting the lives of young people within our community.

Young people and staff members at YMCA Sutton Coldfield are calling on all community members for support by participating in the public vote.

YMCA’s Youth Matters Awards is an annual event taking place in London that celebrates the exceptional contributions of young people, staff, volunteers, and projects across the nation.

"We are deeply honoured to be nominated for YMCA of the Year at the Youth Matters Awards," said Joy Scott-Thompson (pictured), CEO of YMCA Sutton Coldfield.

"This recognition underscores the incredible efforts of our team, volunteers, and, most importantly, the young people we serve.

“We believe in the power of community and the difference we can make together.

“We urge everyone to vote for us and help us continue to inspire and support our youth."

Tim Beesley, Young Worker of the Year nominee, said: “Giving young people the chance to be young people, supporting them in their day to day lives and watching them make positive progress in the hurdles they face is what makes youth work so rewarding for me.”

The public vote is open until midnight on Monday 26 August – cast your vote now.
