Quilter Cheviot, the wealth management arm of Quilter plc, is moving its 64-strong Birmingham office to Paradise.

The leading wealth manager will occupy half of the sixth floor of One Centenary Way, one of Birmingham’s most sustainable workplaces.

Quilter Cheviot provides highly personalised wealth management. Its Birmingham office opened in 1994 and is the largest regional Quilter Cheviot team.

With the company taking 9,000 sq ft of space on the sixth floor, the building is getting closer to being fully let with just two and a half floors of cutting-edge office space remaining.

Designed by Birmingham-based architects Howells, One Centenary Way is a major commercial-led award-winning workspace with 280,000 sq ft across thirteen floors – making it one of the largest office buildings in the city. It is already a distinctive home to a number of international blue-chip occupiers, including Arup, Goldman Sachs, JLL and Mills & Reeve.

Ross Fittall, commercial development director at Paradise Birmingham developer and asset manager, MEPC, said: “Quilter Cheviot is another highly regarded blue-chip occupier choosing One Centenary Way because of the building’s complete package of outstanding design, people-centred amenities, unbeatable location and class-leading sustainability.

“The large, open and flexible floorplates of the building allow companies to provide spacious, creative and high-quality working space for their staff as well as meeting space for their clients. This has been especially valued by the client-centred approach of Quilter Cheviot and will be evidenced throughout its upcoming fit-out.”

The smart-enabled One Centenary Way is one of the most successful large office-led buildings in Birmingham and proves there is plenty of pent-up demand from major companies for best-in-class space in the heart of the city.

Andrew McGlone, chief executive of Quilter Cheviot, said: “We look forward to welcoming colleagues to our new premises at One Centenary Way which will cater for our growing Birmingham based teams.

“The office’s location in the heart of the city makes it an excellent new home for Quilter Cheviot and a great space to meet with clients and intermediary partners.”

At almost two-million square feet, Paradise is delivering up to eight flagship, sustainable buildings, offering offices, bars, cafés and restaurants, plus a high-quality hotel as well as The Octagon, the world-first 49 storey pure octagonal residential skyscraper. It is also delivering three new public squares and new pedestrian routes through the city centre.

Paradise has already completed phase one of the development with One & Two Chamberlain Square and the reopening of Chamberlain Square itself, together with the completion of One Centenary Way last year, the first building in phase two, with the next building in this phase, Three Chamberlain Square, completing next summer.

There are over 6,000 people already working at Paradise which is also home to a growing roster of leisure operators including Albert’s Schloss, Dishoom, F1®Arcade, Rosa’s Thai and Yorks Cafe along with the soon-to-open Cow & Sow and La Bellezza.

The Paradise redevelopment is being brought forward through Paradise Circus Limited Partnership (PCLP), a public-private joint venture with Birmingham City Council.
