Villa Park to host charity evening with Tyrone Mings
Aston Villa will be hosting a Q&A charity evening with Tyrone Mings at Villa Park to raise funds for the Aston Villa Foundation on Monday 14 March 2022.
The event will be held in the Iconic Holte suite from 6.30pm, with Villa club captain Tyrone and Aston Villa Women duo Rachel Corsie and Ruesha Littlejohn.
Hosted by TV presenter and Foundation ambassador Michelle Owen, all proceeds from the event will go to the Aston Villa Foundation in support of young people initiatives which target those 4-18 years of age across a variety of projects and benefit participants from the most high-need areas of Birmingham.
Aston Villa Interventions manager, Kate Roberts said: "The Foundation 's Interventions projects are vital in supporting young people across Birmingham.
"Many of the participants on our programmes are from areas where crime levels are high, and our programmes help to ensure they do not go down the wrong path. We are so grateful to Tyrone and the support he is providing, which will help so many of our young participants."
Centre-back Mings initially joined Villa on loan in January 2019, helping to guide the club to a memorable play-off final triumph at Wembley and promotion to the Premier League.
Aston Villa Women midfielder Littlejohn, a Republic of Ireland international, joined the club in September while Scotland defender Corsie arrived in January, and the pair will share their experiences of playing at the top level of the women 's game.
