University shortlisted for six student choice awards
The Birmingham Newman University has been shortlisted for six categories in the 2025 WhatUni Student Choice Awards (WUSCA), including University of the Year award.
The six categories Birmingham Newman has been shortlisted for are:
- University of the Year
- Career Prospects
- Lecturers and Teaching Quality
- Students’ Union
- Facilities
- Student Support
The WUSCAs are the largest student-voted university awards in the UK, with over 36,000 student reviews contributing to the results.
These awards celebrate institutions that have made a significant impact on student life and success, based on direct feedback from students.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jackie Dunne, of Birmingham Newman University, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted in six categories in the WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2025, including the ‘University of the Year’ category.
“The fact that these awards are voted for by our students makes this recognition even more special. We continually strive to create a vibrant and supportive community here at Birmingham Newman University and this recognition is testament to the dedication and hard work of our staff, who work hard every day to support students and ensure they have a great experience”.
The winners will be announced at the WUSCA ceremony in London on Wednesday, 21 May 2025.
