Two units remain at Quartz Point after leading Irish construction firm expands into region
Just two units remain available at one of the M42 Corridor’s most accessible business parks after Birmingham-based commercial property agent, KWB, agreed a new tenancy with an Irish building contractor with ambitions to further its growth in the region.
Building and civil engineering contractor, PJ Hegarty, has agreed a new lease for one of two newly refurbished 2,309 sq ft open plan offices at Quartz Point. The leading Irish construction firm, which boasts an annual turnover in excess of €500m and employs over 450 people, has signed the lease to bolster its network of offices across the UK and Ireland.
Sean Homer, contracts manager at PJ Hegarty said: “Having established a reputation for being strategically positioned to serve our clients’ needs, we see our new office at Quartz Point as an important next step towards further growth of our project portfolio in the UK. The quality of interior and flexibility of the layout meet our needs perfectly.
Tim Bromley-Martin, asset management director at property investor and landlord, Colmore Capital, added: “PJ Hegarty is exactly the type of business we envisaged attracting to Quartz Park when we first brought the office units to market at the back of last year. The business is on an upward trajectory and sees a quality office presence in the Midlands as being key to accelerating that growth even further.”
The attraction of PJ Hegarty to Quartz Point follows the signing of the lease for a similar-sized unit by Solihull-based adoption agency, Adoption Is 4 U.
The two recent deals mean that just two more units remain at Quartz Point, both of which boast 3,127 sq ft of self-contained and newly refurbished Grade A office space, with an EPC rating A and the highest parking ratio of any equivalent space along the M42 corridor.
Quartz Point is ideally located at the heart of the M42 corridor, the prime Midlands out-of-town office location. The park benefits from excellent transport links, with the M6 accessible within two minutes’ drive and Birmingham International Station in less than ten minutes, while Birmingham and Coventry city centres can each be reached in around 20 minutes from the private crescent of office buildings.
Malcolm Jones, director at KWB said: “With all but two of the 12 units at Quartz Point now being occupied, we’re expecting the remaining units to be in high demand among businesses eager to secure prime, self-contained office space in one of the best locations in the Midlands.”
