Touchwood to stage a 'Summer of Sport'

Touchwood has announced it will host a family friendly ‘Summer of Sport’, live screening several major sporting events between 14 June and 11 August.

With plenty to keep up with in the sporting world this summer holidays, families will be able to enjoy the jam-packed calendar of events from Touchwood’s Theatre Square.

The sporting bonanza kicks off on 14 June as the highly anticipated European Championships begin, with Gareth Southgate's England side aiming for their first major tournament victory since 1966.

A family friendly fan zone will be hosted for each screened match through to 14 July. Once past the group stages all England games will be managed by an online ticketing system.

Touchwood is also set to ‘serve’ up the two-week enchantment of the Wimbledon Championships tennis tournament from 1 to 14 July, as Britain’s Andy Murray could be set to bring the curtain down on an inspiring career.

To round off the summer celebrations, Touchwood will display the 2024 Paris Olympics from 26 July to 11 August, with the Games expected to provide plenty of gold medal moments along the way.

Summer of Sport visitors will be able to take advantage of Touchwood’s diverse mix of restaurants and bars to enjoy a meal and drink in the Square.

By live screening the events, we hope to create an electric atmosphere at Touchwood for families to experience from June through to August.”
