Touchwood announces festive activities schedule
Touchwood is set to sparkle and shine this Christmas, with the return of Santa’s Grotto, meet and greets with the kids favourite seasonal characters and carols from local choirs.
On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November, families can enjoy festive activities and entertainment in the centre as the celebrations kick off with a Grinch Takeover of Santa’s Grotto for one weekend only.
On Saturday 25 November, the festivities ramp up with a special appearance from world-famous ‘Bjorn the Polar Bear’. The animatronic character will be putting on a magical interactive show for the whole family to enjoy.
On the same day, soar into the magical world of everyone’s favourite Christmas comfort film, ‘The Snowman and The Snowdog’, with a meet and greet.
From Saturday 25 November until Christmas Eve, Santa’s Grotto will be open every day, with tickets now available to book online.
Touchwood’s Christmas programme also includes adults' choir performances and the annual School Choir Competition, which gives local school pupils a stage to entertain guests with well-known festive songs.
Kids will also be treated to a meet and greet with ‘The Gruffalo’ himself on Saturday 9 December, as he emerges from the forest to roam the malls of Touchwood.
Rounding off the festivities, the Salvation Army will be at the centre on Saturday 16 December to collect gift donations for families who are struggling this Christmas.
On the festivities, Touchwood’s marketing manager, Lucy Burnett, said: “We are incredibly excited to launch this year’s Christmas programme, which offers a range of festive activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. From the Gruffalo to the Grinch, join us at Touchwood to get in the festive spirit!”
