The Lichfield Garrick have announced that Gill Jordan is joining the cast of Jack & the Beanstalk as the character of Fairy Sugarsnap.

She will be joining Sam Rabone on stage this year for this year’s pantomime, which runs from Friday 22nd November 2024 to Sunday 5th January 2025.

After training at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama, Gill (pictured) travelled extensively with numerous theatre companies, covering many different genres from musicals to classical plays.

In 1995, she formed her own theatre company which led to a long-term residency at Blists Hill Victorian Museum in Shropshire.

Gill has worked for Netflix, Sky, and the BBC. She played the Nurse in Stafford Gatehouse’s critically acclaimed production of Romeo & Juliet, for their 30th Shakespeare Festival.

More recently, she has worked on a number of short films including a brief cameo as a politician in Slaughterbots (a horror short), Mrs Ondoby in The Life and Times of Norman Ondoby, and Laura in Nightshade. When Gill is not acting, she works as an educational mentor for SEND students, and devises and runs theatre workshops for schools.

In 2012, she co-created the infamous Black Country character Doreen Tipton and toured the Midlands, including the Lichfield Garrick, with sell out shows.

She made regular appearances in pantomimes across the region, most recently to the Birmingham Hippodrome.

You can book tickets via the Lichfield Garrick website or by calling the box office on 01543 412121.
