The Rep has announced two additional productions to be added to its already stacked 2025 spring season in their cinema-style The Studio performance space.

Following a sell-out run in New York and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the critically acclaimed Hold On To Your Butts will be staged for a three-show run in The Rep’s second largest performance space The Studio, from Friday 21 to Saturday 22 March.

A wildly inventive tour-de-force of comedy, physical theatre, Hold On To Your Butts is a live shot-for-shot parody of the greatest dinosaur film of all time, performed by just two actors and a live Foley artist.

The second production being the hilarious and heartwarming stage comedy that inspired the hit Netflix series of the same name, Kim’s Convenience.

Following two hugely successful runs both internationally and in London, Kim’s Convenience will be touring the UK tour and will be staged for a limited run in The Rep’s The Studio space from 1 to 5 July.

Written by Ins Choi, who calls the play his ‘love letter to his parents and to all first-generation immigrants who now call Canada their home’ - Kim’s Convenience tells the story of Mr Kim (Appa), the proud, hardworking patriarch of the family who grapples with his changing neighbourhood and the growing schism between his first-generation immigrant values and those of his second-generation children.
