GBYPY Awards 2024: Meet the judges for Property, Construction & Engineering, Events, Retail & Hospitality, Apprentice

Future Faces, the young professionals division of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, have announced the final judging panel for the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards 2024.

The final panel to be revealed is for the following categories: Property, Construction & Engineering, Events, Retail & Hospitality and Apprentice.

The judges for this panel are:

  • Avni Ahuja- Business Development director at Common Purpose
  • Stephen Lewis- Birmingham office managing partner at Forvis Mazars
  • Nitisha Patel- food consultant, development chef and recipe creator
  • Charlene Wall- head of operations and founder of The Wood Manor properties group 

Speaking about judging the shortlisted applicants for these categories, Avni Ahuja said: "I’m honoured to be a judge for the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards to celebrate and support the emerging leaders shaping our community’s future."

Nitisha Patel said: “As a chef, food consultant, author, and public speaker, I am deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of professionals. I chose to be a judge for the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year awards because I believe in the power of recognizing and celebrating young talent.

“This event not only highlights the exceptional achievements of young professionals across our thriving region, but also inspires others to strive for excellence. By supporting these awards, I hope to contribute to the growth and development of future leaders, fostering an environment where innovation and dedication are acknowledged and rewarded.”

Charlene Wall said: “I am committed to fostering strong professional relationships and creating opportunities for others.”

The interviews for this year’s awards will be taking place at the Library of Birmingham on Monday, 2 September.

The Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards 2024 will take place at the ICC Birmingham on Friday, 18 October. For more information on the awards, visit the GBCC events website.
