Technology and Europe on the agenda at forthcoming Global Chamber events
Using technology to gain an international foothold and the UK’s relationship with Europe will be on the agenda at forthcoming events hosted by the Greater Birmingham Global Chamber of Commerce.
The third event in the Chamber’s popular Global Brunch series, ‘Harnessing the power of technology to maximise your global advantage’, takes place on 3 April at the Birmingham office of law firm Trowers & Hamlins.
The practical and interactive session will offer insights on how to harness the power of technology to be more agile and competitive in the global marketplace.
The Global Brunches attract around 70 delegates and cover new markets trends, as well as most common international trade challenges.
Jayne Hume (pictured), head of international divisions at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “Despite the current global uncertainty there are still many opportunities for our members to trade internationally.
"There is also a definite increase in those who are ‘global curious’ and looking to take their first steps in new markets.
“This was a key driver in introducing our new and very popular series of Global Brunches, bringing together those at all stages of their export journey with experts to share valuable insights, promote peer to peer learning and to develop a strong community focused on driving global growth across our region.”
Meanwhile, the UK’s relationship with Europe is back in the spotlight as the Global Chamber marks European Day on 8 May, at Albert’s Schloss in Birmingham.
While Trump and US tariffs have grabbed the recent headlines, the importance of UK-EU trade relations remains a huge topic.
Experts will be discussing the EU/UK Reset Summit and the impact of Brexit nine years on, alongside current EU-UK trade relations and how businesses are adapting to this new landscape.
