Tax firm celebrates ACA qualifications and promotions for Future Faces members
Claritas Tax have announced that after nearly four years of exams, Roshan Paul and Mike Fahy have completed their ICAEW ACA qualifications and are now Chartered Accountants.
Roshan and Mike are also members of the young professionals’ division of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, Future Faces.
Roshan said: “As all chartered professionals out there know it takes many long nights and early mornings to achieve qualification so I am delighted to have reached this stage, I cannot wait to see what the future holds for our careers!”
Mike said: “At Claritas, I often have the privilege of meeting inspiring business owners, guiding them through complex tax advisory and compliance challenges.
“Engaging with passionate founders, whether discussing their ambitious plans or celebrating their successes, is one of my favourite parts of the job. I deeply appreciate how my ACA qualification enriches these conversations, providing valuable insights and perspectives.”
In addition to this, Claritas has announced four promotions in the team.
Elliott Morrell has been promoted to senior manager.
Elliott, the second graduate to join Claritas and works in the Valuations Team at Claritas, said: “I am excited to announce my promotion to senior manager at Claritas. It’s been an incredible journey from joining the firm as a graduate eight years ago to now taking on this new role.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities I've had to grow alongside the company and look forward to contributing even more in the future.”
Brandon Laroiya-McCarron has been promoted to manager. Brandon joined Claritas in September 2019 and works primarily in the Corporate and M&A teams.
He said: “I am thrilled to have been promoted alongside a number of my fellow colleagues at Claritas and it has been exciting reflecting on my journey so far with the company.
“I look forward to seeing Claritas continue expanding across the UK over the coming years, which is testament to the hard work of the whole team.”
Roshan Paul and Mike Fahy have also been promoted to assistant managers following the successful completion of their ACA.
Roshan splits his time between the Valuation and Corporate tax, and Mike works in both the Corporate and M&A service lines.
Iain Wright, founding partner of Claritas Tax, said: “As the UK’s largest independent tax advisory and compliance firm, we only succeed by recruiting, training and retaining the best and brightest people.
“We have invested heavily in training graduates since 2015 and are thrilled with the contribution they make throughout their training periods and way beyond. Investing in graduate training and development is creating a legacy at Claritas that I and other senior members of the team are incredibly proud of and we look forward to continuing to do so.
“We will shortly be commencing the recruitment process for our 2025 intake in Birmingham, Manchester and Nottingham and I would urge anyone interested in a career that combines intellectual rigour with imaginative problem solving and commercial exposure to get in touch.”
David Nolan (Trainee development lead and ICAEW QPRT) said: “As we celebrate our 10th annual intake of trainees as an ICAEW training employer, I am also immensely proud to have witnessed the growth and successes of our team members throughout our training and development program.
“Mike, Roshan, Brandon, and Elliott have demonstrated exceptional drive and determination during their pre- and post-qualification journeys with us.
“Mike and Roshan’s acceptance into the ICAEW, and everyone’s promotions are well-deserved, and I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of them on their achievements.”
