Sutton Coldfield seeks entrepreneurs of tomorrow with launch of first Young Traders Market
Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield BID is on the lookout for the next generation of entrepreneurial talent as it launches its first ‘Young Traders Market’.
The new initiative – taking place in the town centre on Saturday 10 May - is designed to give young entrepreneurs from the local area the chance to showcase their business ideas and talents, as well as an opportunity to get real-world experience in a vibrant market setting.
The Young Traders Market is open to students living in Sutton Coldfield and surrounding areas, age 11-25, studying at school, college, or university.
From handmade crafts and fashion to tech gadgets, artwork, food, and much more, it’s an opportunity to get products in front of customers, build brands and take the next step in your entrepreneurial journey.
The Young Traders Market is completely free to enter, with all gazebo hire and pitch fees covered by Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield Business Improvement District (BID). To register your interest, email hello@visitroyalsuttoncoldfield.co.uk.
“This market isn’t just about selling products; it’s about discovering and supporting the business leaders of tomorrow,” said Michelle Baker, BID manager at Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield BID.
“There’s incredible talent in our local schools, colleges, and universities, and we want to give these young entrepreneurs the opportunity to test their ideas, gain valuable experience, sell to the public and take their businesses to new heights.
“This could be the start of something big for those that take part!”
The Sutton Coldfield Young Traders Market will take place on Saturday 10 May along The Parade in the town centre and selected traders will be shortlisted to take part in the NMTF (National Market Traders Federation) regional finals that will be hosted by Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield BID in July.
