Surveyor promoted at property consultancy

A property consultancy has promoted a member of its team following the substantial growth of its management portfolio.

Burley Browne, headquartered in Sutton Coldfield, has promoted Faryal Sheikh to associate director.

Chartered surveyor Faryal (pictured) has been promoted in recognition of the success of the commercial property management department which she leads, supported by a growing team.

Joint managing director James Merrick said: "Over the last two years, and since its inception, our dedicated property management department has now grown to managing close to 200 properties totaling over 450,000 sq ft, with an annual rent role of approximately £3 million and annual service charge collection close to £135,000.

"Further expansion of the department is planned this year, and this is in no small part down to Faryal 's hard work, dedication and the exceptional service provided to our management clients. We are therefore delighted to reward her with this promotion. ”

Faryal joined Burley Browne 18 months ago as senior surveyor.

She previously worked for Birmingham consultancies CBRE and Bruton Knowles in their estate management departments.

She said: "I am thrilled to have been promoted to associate director and I am equally excited by the opportunities presented to me at Burley Browne and the potential future growth of the department.

“Alongside Emma Cowley, who joined the department to provide property accountancy experience, we are supported by our lease advisory and agency colleagues to provide a full and complete asset management service and, as such, we are excellently placed to service the needs of all our retained clients. ”
