Spend a night behind bars to raise funds for kids’ charity
Birmingham children’s charity Cash for Kids, along with LoveBrum, is inviting businesses for a thrilling ‘once in a time’ fundraising sleepover at the infamous HM Prison Shrewsbury, ranked as the sixth top dark tourism site in the world.
The prison, known for its dark history and haunted atmosphere offers the perfect backdrop for a night filled with spine-chilling stories, eerie encounters, and fun challenges.
Attendees will be locked in the prison overnight on June 5 who will be demanded a minimum fundraising amount of £2000 to be released the following day.
The fundraising target will directly support children affected by poverty, illness, and additional needs.
In 2023, a group of 25 participants, including celebrities UB40, Michelin-starred chef Glynn Purnell, and radio host Andy Crane, raised an impressive £50,188 for the cause.
Interested detainees, can express their interest to regional charity manager Charlotte Walker, to be considered for a spot.
The virtual trial date is set on March 27, giving prospective businesses the chance to meet fellow inmates and prepare for the event.
