The speaker has been confirmed for a workshop on negotiating with confidence, organised by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC).

Philip Brown (pictured), the director and founder of The Negotiation Club, has been confirmed as the speaker at the workshop where attendees can boost their bargaining power.

This dynamic and engaging event, happening at Chamber HQ on Tuesday, 17 September from 10 am to 2 pm, will equip businesses with the essential negotiation skills to thrive in business.

This event will provide delegates with confidence, strategies, and knowledge needed to break through barriers and achieve win-win outcomes to secure competitive advantages.

Philip is a seasoned negotiation expert with over 30 years of experience in procurement and commercial negotiations.

As the founder of The Negotiation Club, Philip has pioneered a unique, practice-based approach to negotiation training, helping professionals develop essential skills through real-world scenarios and structured feedback.

He is also the creator of the innovative Negotiation Cards, a tool designed to make negotiation practice accessible for individuals of all experience levels.

Philip’s workshops are uniquely focused on “doing” rather than theory. Participants engage in fast-paced, structured negotiations that move from simple to complex scenarios, using his Negotiation Cards to facilitate hands-on practice. This method ensures that participants gain real-world skills, with the emphasis on improvement through action, reflection, and feedback.

Ahead of the workshop, Phil encouraged firms to register for this event and said: “Just like any skill, negotiation sharpens with practice and dulls without it. In negotiation, the difference between success and failures is often the number of times you’ve practiced it!”

Emily Stubbs, GBCC head of policy said: “I highly encourage local firms based In East Birmingham and North Solihull to register for the Get Ready 2 Supply programme for tailored support on how to win contracts with the region’s largest institutions.
