Speaker confirmed for Chamber workshop on how to write a winning grant application

The speaker has been announced for an interactive workshop on how to write a winning grant, part of a UK funded programme delivered by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) and Newable.

Liam Hickey (pictured), team manager at Newable will lead the workshop, which supports SMEs to develop skills needed to write a compelling grant application and figure out how your business can win work from large buyers locally and nationally.

The virtual session, happening from 10 to 11.30 am on Thursday, 24 October, will guide delegates through a grant application, breaking down the key elements of a successful application, including how to understand what they’re looking for and present their business in the best light.

Liam leads a team of advisers delivering support to SMEs seeking to improve their supply chain.

He has over 35 years’ experience working with businesses, having originally worked in various capacities for NatWest.

Since joining Newable in 2000, Liam has delivered numerous local, regional and national programmes, providing support to clients.

He has worked with businesses from High Street retailers to innovation businesses at every stage from start up to High Growth. He has overseen a number of grant funding programmes, been a sanctioning manager for Start Up Loans and supported clients from innovation to local community groups to access funding, including delivery of a number of small grants programmes for local councils in London.

 This workshop is part of Get Ready 2 Supply, an ongoing programme designed to help small and medium sized enterprises in East Birmingham and North Solihull to access new contracting opportunities with larger organisations across the region.
