Ansons Solicitors, the West Midlands and Staffordshire law firm, has appointed two new associate directors to their growing team.

Ian Meadows joins the dispute resolution and employment team, bringing nearly three decades of experience as a Solicitor and Sara Anderson joins the Family Law department with 14 years of experience as a solicitor.

Ian has spent his career advising individuals and businesses on a wide range of contentious property matters through mediation, all the way up to representing clients in the High Court.

He is highly skilled in landlord and tenant matters, boundary and overage disputes, as well as contentious commercial cases, including shareholder and partnership disputes, debt recovery, and corporate insolvency.

Ian said: “I am excited to join Ansons Solicitors, a firm recognised for its client-focused approach and expertise.

“I look forward to bringing my experience to the team and assisting clients with their legal challenges effectively and strategically.”

Sara joins the Family Law department as a solicitor, covering all aspects of family law, including divorce, financial settlements, injunctive orders, and child arrangement matters.

She has particular expertise in handling complex private children cases involving abduction, parental alienation, and guardianship appointments.

Sara is known for her pragmatic and non-confrontational approach and is well-regarded for her advocacy skills and ability to represent clients from all backgrounds.

Sara said: “I am thrilled to become an associate director at Ansons Solicitors, a firm that shares my commitment to providing empathetic and practical legal solutions.

“I hope to use my previous experience leading a family law department to work closely with the team to support our clients during some of the most challenging times in their lives.”

Martin de Ridder, managing director at Ansons Solicitors, added: “I do not doubt that Ian’s extensive experience in dispute resolution and Sara’s outstanding reputation in family law will enhance our ability to provide first-class legal support to our clients as we continue to grow and strengthen our firm, and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve with them on board.”
