Future Faces have announced Pathway Group as the sponsor for the Apprentice of the Year category of the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards 2024.

For over two decades, Pathway Group has been at the forefront of empowering people and businesses through skills and training.

Founded in the Midlands, they now operate across England, delivering qualifications, programmes, and employer-led solutions designed to meet the unique needs of communities and businesses alike. Their mission is to change lives through skills and work, helping individuals progress in their careers while providing businesses with the tools to grow and thrive.

Whether through apprenticeships, upskilling existing staff, or supporting numeracy confidence with initiatives like Multiply, they aim to bridge skill gaps and cultivate the next generation of talent with programmes such as Path 2 Apprenticeships.

Pathway Group believe that learning is about acquiring new knowledge and applying it in real-world scenarios to drive lasting change.

Kasim Choudhry, multicultural apprenticeships ambassador and event project manager at Pathway Group, is also the President of Future Faces Chamber of Commerce.

Kasim said: “As the skills gap in our country continues to widen and youth unemployment is at an all-time high in the region, the work Pathway Group are doing to upskill our young people is vital to the growth of our economy.”

Martin Chandler, chief engagement and enrichment officer at Pathway Group, said: “We are proud to sponsor the Apprentice category at the GBYPY 2024 Awards, as it aligns perfectly with our mission to create opportunities for people to develop the skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce.

“At Pathway Group, we are committed to supporting businesses with apprenticeship programmes that close critical skill gaps and invest in the future of the UK workforce. By empowering the next generation of apprentices, we can continue changing lives through skills and work, fostering a more prosperous and resilient economy for all.”

The Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards 2024 will take place on Friday, 18 October at the ICC Birmingham.
