Security company celebrates anniversary with opening of new training academy
The Midlands largest privately-owed security company, MAN Commercial Protection Ltd, have announced their 30th anniversary.
Ranked in the Top-20 UK security companies, MAN Commercial remains privately owned by co-founder and CEO Iain McCallister.
Based in Solihull since inception, MAN Commercial now owns and occupies a 12,000 sq foot suite of offices in Cranmore.
A significant local employer, over half of their 1500 UK security officers and Head Office teams are in the Solihull and Birmingham areas, with the company recording a 64 per cent increase in employees over the past 5 years.
MAN Commercial operate across varied sectors, including logistics, transport, manufacturing, sports and entertainment, councils, pharmaceutical, aviation and property management. The company’s expertise is manned guarding, which includes providing static officers, door supervisors, loss prevention, reception/concierge, mobile response/patrols, keyholding, CCTV monitoring.
The MAN Commercial brand has also been seen on the television – the company are preferred suppliers to world-famous boxing promoter Frank Warren and currently have a team out in Saudi Arabia preparing for the Day of Reckoning fights on 23 December.

In celebration of their landmark anniversary, MAN Commercial have opened a brand-new Training Academy, on site at the Solihull HQ. Led by a fully-qualified industry-leading trainer, the academy specialises in offering industry training including SIA licence qualifications, first aid, leadership and management courses, customer service and more.
Iain continued: “Our 30th birthday seems like the perfect time to expand our services into training, and we hope this venture will attract more people to join the security industry. Our training team will work closely with our recruitment team to offer candidates interviews for roles with us after course completion.”
