Second speaker announced for upcoming QBR launch

The second speaker has been announced for the upcoming Quarter Business Report (QBR) launch by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC).

Tom Screen (pictured), aviation director at Birmingham Airport, will be joining the discussion about Greater Birmingham on the global stage.

The free to attend event is happening at Birmingham City University on Thursday, 18 July from 9 am to 11 am.

Tom’s role at Birmingham Airport is manage the aeronautical budget of the airport and manage all existing and future airline relations. 

Tom joined Birmingham Airport in February 2013 and has performed a number of business development roles before taking over his current role in March 2018.

Prior to joining Birmingham Airport, Tom ran the network and schedules planning functions at Thomson Airways (the largest Charter airline in Europe). Tom started his career in the Operations team of First Choice Airways (air2000) before moving to work as a slot coordinator at Airport Coordination Ltd.

Sponsored by Birmingham City University and now a well-established feature in the local business calendar, this event attracts a senior level audience for networking, discussion and intelligence sharing.

 

The Quarterly Business Report offers an up-to-date snapshot of the performance of the Greater Birmingham business community.

As GBCC’s flagship publication, the QBR is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city-region. Underpinning the report is data gathered from quarterly surveys completed by businesses from across the Greater Birmingham area.

Speaking about the announcement, GBCC director of external affairs Raj Kandola said: “I’m delighted that Tom will be joining the panel for our upcoming Quarterly Business Report launch event taking place in July”.
