School joins forces with training provider to develop staff conflict management skills
Chase Terrace Academy has enlisted the help of fellow Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber member The Listening Centre to ensure staff are equipped with the right skills to manage conflict in the workplace.
The Burntwood-based secondary school joined forces with The Listening Centre as part of its commitment to providing all staff with high-quality and meaningful training to support their professional development.
As part of their school INSET days, they were keen to secure training around mediation skills to support staff in responding and dealing with conflict.
Julie Poppleton, director of careers education at Chase Terrace Academy and vice-president of Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are very grateful to Sharon McCormick for this high-impact workshop.
“Our staff feedback reflected that this had been insightful, and thought-provoking and had enabled them to be confident in using these strategies going forward.
“I would personally highly recommend others to contact The Listening Centre to look at the staff training they can support with.”
Sharon McCormick, clinical director at The Listening Centre and Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber committee member, said: “We are passionate about working with Midlands-based companies and supporting their staff development and wellbeing.
“This feedback demonstrates we’re doing a great job and goes a long way to strengthening our reputation as the regional EAP of choice for local organisations who want the very best for their staff.”
