RSM duo among speakers as Global Trade Conference returns
The return of the Chamber 's Global Trade Conference is among the highlights of a month-long Festival of Business campaign, taking place throughout June.
Following the success of the 2020 Global Trade Conference, and the Transatlantic Conferences of 2018 and 2019, the Greater Birmingham Commonwealth and Transatlantic Chambers are hosting another event which will help businesses learn more about new markets and trading internationally.
The conference will take place on 23 June as a half-day digital event.
It will also be part of a five-week Festival of Business campaign, celebrating the business communities that are part of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce group.
The focus of this year 's conference will be an analysis of the global economy following the events of the last year, with discussions around international connections, valuable trade insights, success stories from companies who have benefitted from an international footprint and how to grow sales and client bases.
Among the speakers attending the conference are high-profile duo and leading economists, Simon Hart and Joe Brusuelas from RSM, a global leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services to middle market leaders.
Former Bloomberg chief economist Mr Brusuelas has more than 20 years ' experience in finance and economics, while Mr Hart sits on the board of RSM UK as international partner, with responsibilities to promote the firm to the global market.
The duo will take to the virtual stage once again to deliver a global economic update.
Further speakers are yet to be announced.
Last year 's digital event gave the Chamber the opportunity to involve a global audience, attracting almost 600 delegates who were spread across 24 countries.
The conference also managed to reach 2.8 million people via Twitter.
Stefanie Bowes, international business manager at the GBCC, said: “The Global Trade Conference is shaping up to be a spectacular day with lots of informative sessions as well as the chance to form valuable connections with key business partners to help boost business opportunities.
“We look forward to welcoming delegates back to the conference this year whilst also hosting our week-long celebration of Greater Birmingham's business communities. ”
The conference is free to attend for Chamber members and non-members.
