Resorts World announces calendar of summer activities

Resorts World has announced a fun-filled summer ahead for visitors, with the Resort celebrating the Olympics with a range of fun activities in the Atrium on the weekends of 24 and 25 and 30 and 31 of July.

After an absence of a couple of years, Spin the Wheel will be making a return on certain days during the summer where guests will have a chance at winning a range of prizes by spinning the wheel. It will be free to enter.

On bank holiday Sunday, 25 August, the World Bar will be host to a Rewind 90s Weekender featuring a DJ playing all the classics from Britney to the Backstreet Boys plus a welcome drink and buffet. Tickets are available at £35 per person.

A Festival Fever event will also be taking place between noon and 5pm on Saturday 27 July in the World Bar. At £10 per ticket, guests will receive a welcome drink and a DJ will be playing “festival classics”, while food will be available as well as a range of drinks.

This year will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the legendary Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival during July. Resorts World says it is delighted to be part of the range of venues hosting events as part of the Festival. In locations across the Resort, free Jazz Festival gigs will take place on Friday 19 and 26 and Sunday 21 and 28 July.

On certain dates there will opportunities to stay at the Genting Hotel with a 25 per cent discount on the room rate and the Santai Spa will also be offering discounts during the summer. The Secret Garden has also launched a new cocktail menu so guests can enjoy a rooftop drink.

In addition to all the activities Resorts World will have all of its usual experiences to enhance the summer days from outlet shopping, the latest blockbusters at Cineworld, the challenges set by Escape Hunt or the thrill of competition at Hollywood Bowl.
