Procurement firm becomes affiliate consultants for health and safety scheme
Burton based LMB Procurement has become an affiliate consultant for Veriforce CHAS, a nationally recognised health and safety scheme in the UK.
The scheme assesses organisations on their compliance with health and safety and other risk management standards, helping companies meet the stringent requirements set by both public sector bodies and other buying clients.
LMB Procurement has made this step after more public sector organisations are requiring CHAS certification from contractors, making it an essential part of gaining access to a wider range of opportunities.
CHAS also demonstrates a company’s commitment to responsible business practices, governance, and sustainability—factors that are increasingly valued in today’s procurement landscape.
David Turner, SVP marketing for Veriforce said: “Veriforce CHAS is delighted to welcome LMB Procurement as an affiliate consultant.
“They join an elite group of consultants who have a track record of helping their clients to successfully meet our assessment requirements and support them in establishing or improving their ongoing health and safety systems and processes.
“Together we are working to keep contractors safe and improve the world of work.”
Lorna Baker (pictured), director of LMB Procurement is also urging contractors to get a CHAS affiliation to meet public standards, enhance reputation and credibility, simplify procurement, and to access new opportunities.
