Pregnancy and baby loss charity achieves CPD accreditation
Sands, the pregnancy and baby loss charity, have announced that their Bereavement in the Workplace training has achieved the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation.
The Bereavement in the Workplace training helps managers and colleagues understand pregnancy and baby loss, find the words to support bereaved staff and navigate employment law.
A variety of tools are available including live training and a digital learning hub which includes eLearning, films, guidance and template policies.
These resources feature the experiences of bereaved parents going back to work, and the insight of HR professionals to help businesses build a supportive workplace environment.
Completing the Bereavement in the Workplace training will earn professionals two points (or two hours depending on how it is being recorded) towards their professional learning and development.
The course is delivered simply through a tailored blend of live webinars, online learning modules and digital toolkits which is relevant to each organisation and their culture.
Johanna Symanowski (pictured), lead trainer at Sands, said: “Sands bereavement in the workplace training is accredited by the CPD Certification Service; this shows that our training is benchmarked against a high-level professional framework.
“With over 25 years as a professional membership body the CPD Certification Service are leaders in professional accreditation.
“This means that you can feel confident that our training is of a high standard, designed, developed and delivered in a compassionate and supportive way whilst improving confidence and knowledge of an emotive but essential subject.
“The training is designed for managers; HR; leaders and SMEs; to help them feel equipped and confident to support a bereaved colleague following pregnancy or baby loss.
“Targeted at those in leadership positions; this session delves into the pivotal role of workplace support during times of loss; the impact of baby loss and grief on individuals and teams; effective strategies to support employees’ return to work; creating a nurturing work environment; resources and support available.”
