Performing Perfectly – a company which brings the world of theatre to business to help empower teams and individuals – has launched a new podcast.

‘Drop The Act’, hosted by theatre director and managing director Christopher Key (pictured), aims to redefine how we think about leadership, communication and storytelling.

The series promises raw and unfiltered conversations with business leaders.

Drawing on his extensive background in global theatre productions such as Les Misérables and School of Rock, Christopher Key uses his unique lens to uncover the untold stories behind leadership, resilience, and performance.

“Drop the Act isn’t about perfection - it’s about connection,” says Chris.

“This podcast is a space for bold, honest conversations that inspire leaders to embrace authenticity and communicate with impact.

“Leadership isn’t a role you play; it’s a performance rooted in real stories, shared experiences, and vulnerability.”

The first series of the podcast features guests including:

  • Martin Tierney, director of Seating Matters on building trust and driving innovation in healthcare
  • Amy Merricks on transformational leadership under pressure.
  • Claire Colvin from Simple Scaling om authentic strategies for scaling businesses
  • Mark Clemmit on the art of storytelling in sports and beyond

‘Drop the Act’ is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and all other major platforms.
