Birmingham-based photographer Edwin Ladd is once again hosting a free photoshoot ahead of International Women’s Day – with hundreds of individuals expected to take part.

The renowned event photographer captured 394 participants over seven days last year and is aiming to surpass that total this time around.

The photoshoot has become a traditional precursor to the International Women’s Day Conference and Expo.

Edwin hopes to bring together 500 participants this year for a visual celebration of diversity, empowerment and unity.

“This photoshoot is about more than just pictures - it’s a statement, it reflects the collective strength, resilience, and stories of the community that stands in solidarity for women’s empowerment,” said Edwin Ladd, co-founder of the Conference and Expo which is taking place at Millennium Point on 25 February.

The photoshoot is being held at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham from 6 to 12 January.

The IWD Conference and Expo 2025 will feature dynamic keynote speakers, interactive workshops, and inspiring exhibitions, providing attendees with opportunities to connect, collaborate, and champion gender equality.
