Partner programme aims to enhance benefits for businesses
The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC), the region 's economic development agency, has rebranded its commercial partner programme as Partners West Midlands in a bid to support more West Midlands ' businesses who want to invest in its work promoting the region 's economy.
More than 100 leading companies including HSBC, Gowling, Bruntwood and Park Regis Birmingham hotel are already partners and this number is set to grow significantly in 2022 as the programme aligns more closely to the region 's key growth sectors and the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Business and Tourism Programme.
New partner benefits for 2022 will include a new partner portal, a Quarterly Economic Digest and a range of Cross Sector Initiatives, led by private sector and university specialists. These will offer Partners free, actionable advice in areas such as green growth, digital transformation, upskilling and equality, diversity and inclusivity.
Neil Rami, chief executive, WMGC, said: “The West Midlands has always thrived on partnership and our new programme will strengthen links between the public, private and higher education sectors, as we enhance a variety of profile building, insight and networking partner benefits. 2022 offers our region unprecedented opportunities and the Partners West Midlands programme places our commercial partners at the heart of the drive for continued economic growth. ”
Sally Williams, Head of HSBC UK CEO Office, HSBC UK commented: “With 2022 shaping up to be a key year for the region, the development of a full programme of events adds enormous value to the partnership. It will enable us to better engage key colleagues and stakeholders from across HSBC UK, in turn maximising impact for us as well as all of those involved in Partners West Midlands. ”
