Logistics professionals in the West Midlands can receive a part funded Transport Manager CPC qualification with TRS Training Limited.

The training firm has started enrolling for transport manager and sustainability champion skills bootcamps.

Starting on 10 October, this training programme combines transport manager CPC qualification and carbon reduction planning skills.

The CPC qualification programme will be delivered in-person at the Walsall training centre by the RHA.

For those who prefer flexibility, an online option for the Transport Manager CPC is available upon enquiry.

Funding for the course is provided by the Department for Education, in collaboration with the West Midlands Combined Authority. SMEs in attendance are required to pay £345.60 + VAT per person.

The course's expansion into the West Midlands follows its successful debut in the Liverpool City Region last year. Scott Benson from SSO Logistics, a participant in the initial launch, got his Transport Manager CPC and carbon planning skills.

He said: "The course taught me about environmental impact and how logistics must adjust to reduce carbon footprint and embrace change. It gave me the knowledge to produce a carbon reduction plan."

Scott has since become a sustainability champion within his organisation, demonstrating the impact of this training.

To qualify, candidates must be aged 19 or over, reside or work within the West Midlands Combined Authority area, and not have taken a Skills Bootcamp course since 1 April 2024.
