A Lichfield firm of family-run solicitors is celebrating one of its paralegals reaching a career milestone in one of its specialist fields.

Adcocks Solicitors, based in Lombard Street, Lichfield, has announced that paralegal Francesca Allen has qualified as a fully-fledged Licensed Conveyancer.

Francesca, who also boasts a degree in law with criminology, said: “I’m incredibly proud that I have now qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer after completing my Level 6 Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice.

“It’s a real landmark in my legal career and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my wonderful colleagues!

“I’ve learned such a lot since joining Adcocks five years ago and now I’m very excited to continue to progress my career with the firm.”

Francesca is one of the 22-strong team of solicitors at Adcocks, whose other specialist areas include leasehold reform and enfranchisement work, as well as commercial property and private client services.

Director Hedley Adcock, who is the great- grandson of the firm’s original founder, said: “We take great pride in Francesca's achievement. She has worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone.

“Her dedication to her work and clients is nothing but exemplary, and we have no doubt that she will continue to excel in her career as a fully-fledged Licensed Conveyancer."

Meanwhile, Adcocks has pledged its support to nine charities by signing up to an annual will-writing campaign.

The firm is joining the Will Aid scheme for the first time, helping raise vital donations this November by writing wills and waiving their usual fee in return for a donation to charity.

Solicitor Kerry Davies, head of Adcocks’ Private Client and Family Department, who’ll be supporting the scheme alongside private client solicitor Maddie Williams, said: “Will Aid is an exceptional campaign, that offers people the chance to get a professionally written will while supporting important causes that change lives for the better both here in the UK and around the world.

“As solicitors, we’re delighted to volunteer our time and expertise to support such a fantastic campaign and are hoping to raise a lot of money that will go towards supporting vulnerable people both here in the UK, many of whom have been further impacted by the cost of living crisis.”

Solicitors taking part in the campaign waive their fees for will-writing services throughout November, instead inviting clients to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid.

The suggested voluntary donation for a basic single will is £100, or £180 for a pair of mirror wills.

Donations support nine of the UK’s best-loved charities - ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland), and Trocaire (N. Ireland).
