New nursery in Birmingham suburb creating at least 20 jobs
At least 20 jobs will be created at a new nursery in a trendy Birmingham suburb this spring, thanks to deal sealed by commercial property specialists Siddall Jones.
The latest Little Adventures Nursery will be opening in May once a fit-out has been completed at premises rented at 1369 Pershore Road in Stirchley.
Laura Filer, co-founder and chief marketing officer of the Family Adventures Group, explained the venue is the latest in the firm’s award-winning Little Adventures chain, with sites already operating in Bridgwater, Cheddar, Dudley, Taunton and Weston-super-Mare.
Ms Filer said: “Our new Little Adventures Nursery in Stirchley will provide high-quality childcare for children from the age of six weeks to five years.
“Little Adventures Nursery Group is multi-award-winning due to the high levels of care, nurture and learning that children receive within our settings.
“Our award-winning curriculum is market leading, enabling children to become ‘future ready’ by the time they leave us, promoting learning through play.
“We recruit highly trained staff and have a strong emphasis on quality throughout everything that we do.
“We put parents at the heart of our nurseries through an app enabling them to be a part of their child’s day through real time updates, as well as being involved in their overall learning journey and development.
“We prioritise safety with robust processes and procedures as well as having highly trained staff ensuring that all opportunities for effective learning and development are maximised.
“We also invest in our premises ensuring they have the best resources and environments for children in our care.”
Commenting on the Stirchley property deal, Ms Filer added: “We found Siddall Jones to be helpful and professional throughout.
“We enjoyed dealing with them and appreciate the help they provided to us in both finding and completing on this site.”
The EG Radius Leaderboard, which ranks commercial property agents, lists Siddall Jones in the top five for retail in the West Midlands and as the leading agent in the region with 174 deals across all property sectors.
Scott Rawlings, retail agent at Siddall Jones, explained that the premises set between Lea House Road and Pershore Road extend to around 4,713 sq ft.
Mr Rawlings said: “These are former factory premises that have already been used as a nursery, although the Little Adventures Group has a great new fit-out planned.
“Stirchley is an increasingly popular and trendy suburb, with many young families moving to the area.
“We believe this high-quality nursery group has a real opportunity to become quickly established and we wish them all the best for the future.”
The single storey premises are largely open plan, with various meeting rooms, benefitting from double-glazing, a kitchen and toilets.
Cars can access the venue from Lea House Road, running between Bournville Lane and Mary Vale Road, with multiple car parking spaces, and pedestrian access from the Pershore Road.
Pershore Road is the main route linking south Birmingham with both the city centre and with nearby towns like Redditch and Bromsgrove.
The deal arranged with the Little Adventures Nursery was on a 15-year lease at £25,000 per annum.
The Little Adventure Nursery Group was advised by Kieran Rodda of Birdi & Co Solicitors, and the landlord was advised by Maya Nisa-Zaman of MZ Law.
