Music of Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly celebrated in Garrick performances

Barry Steele’s The Roy Orbison Story is coming to Lichfield’s Garrick - celebrating the legendary Roy Orbison and the iconic Traveling Wilburys.

The show takes place on Friday 7 March.

Audiences will enjoy classic Orbison hits like ‘Oh, Pretty Woman’, ‘Crying’ and ‘Only the Lonely’ and Travelling Wilburys favourites such as ‘Handle with Care’ and ‘End of the Line’. 

With a sprinkling of selected songs from Johnny Cash, ELO, and Tom Petty, The Roy Orbison Story showcases the vast influence of The Big O and his friends on rock and pop music. 

Meanwhile, the multi award-winning West End show Buddy – The Buddy Holly story runs at the Garrick from 2 to 7 March.

Experience the drama, passion and excitement as a multi-talented cast of actor-musicians tell Buddy Holly’s story, from his Texas rockabilly beginnings to international stardom and his legendary final performance at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, before his tragic death at the age of just 22.

The show features two hours of songs such as That’ll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Rave On, La Bamba, Chantilly Lace, Johnny B. Goode, Raining In My Heart, Everyday, Shout and Peggy Sue.
