Midland leasing group helps cut charging costs to beat energy price rises
Midland-based leasing service EZOO has joined forces with OVO Charge to help cut public charging costs as energy prices continue to climb.
The new EZOO-OVO partnership marks good news for consumers – particularly drivers of electric vehicles - keen to save money.
EZOO said: “Thanks to our new deal, EZOO customers get a 10 per cent discount on public charging with OVO Charge. Just download the app, sign up, enter your EZOO discount code and boom – cheaper charging at over 50,000 fast, rapid and ultra-rapid chargers across the UK. That’s a lot of power in a lot of places.”
On average, consumers are in line to shave up to £240 a year off public charging costs.
EZOO CEO Lash Saranna said: “With energy prices on the rise again, public charging can feel like it’s getting a bit pricey – even though it’s still far cheaper than fuelling up with petrol or diesel.
“At EZOO, we’re all about removing barriers to EV adoption. This partnership with OVO means less stress, lower costs and easier charging for our drivers.
“It’s just one more way we’re showing that going electric doesn’t have to cost the earth – financially or environmentally.”
Consumers do not need to be an OVO customer to get the discount. The OVO Charge app is free to download, and codes are valid for 12 months from the day of receipt.
Meanwhile, with EZOO’s salary sacrifice scheme, customers can save up to 60 per cent on an EV in addition to the charging savings.
