A Menopause and Wellbeing Fair is being held in Solihull on Saturday 14 October, in line with Menopause Awareness Month.

Counsellor Karen Grinsell, deputy leader at Solihull Council, will be opening the day.

Menopause Knowledge is hosting a Menopause and Wellbeing Fair at the Blossomfield Rose Retirement Home, with guest speakers on topics such as Tai Chi Qi Gong, Menopause and Cardio-Vascular Health research, HRT in Menopause, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, ADHD and Neurodiversity in Menopause, and The Power of Energy Healing.

There will also be a range of wellbeing practitioners and stands, from reflexology and Reiki, to crystal healing and nutrition, and more.

The Fair will run from 10am to 3pm, with guest speakers every hour. Cakes and refreshment will be £1 each.

Entry is limited, so early booking is essential.

Menopause Knowledge and its founder, Aline Boblin (pictured), are raising awareness of wellbeing in menopause with a very positive twist. The day will raise understanding of the multi-facetted possibilities for people to embrace menopause holistically, and with evidence-based medical support, where appropriate.

Cllr Karen Grinsell, lead member for Partnerships and Wellbeing, commented: “I’m looking forward to welcoming lots of women to the day, and of course men are welcome too. We all need to learn more about menopause, what happens to a woman, how it affects her and everyone around her at that particular time in her life, as well as the positives about menopause.”

Aline Boblin, menopause awareness campaigner and CEO of Menopause Knowledge, commented: “Menopause should be an empowering time and even a time to re-imagine ourselves.

"But it can still have a negative impact on many people’s lives, on their families, relationships and the workplace.

"Far too often, that stems from a lack of knowledge and understanding of how to prepare for menopause, cast away those unhelpful myths and embrace all the positivity menopause can bring. And the earlier in life we discover this, the more empowering menopause can be!

“This year, we wanted to bring something different to Solihull and the West Midlands. This Fair is the first of its kind in the region. It brings together medical information as well as a breadth of lifestyle and holistic topics, with a whole mind, body, spirit feel.

"We’re hoping to see mothers and daughters and partners come along, and that everyone finds something that resonates with them and even opens new doors of interest and passion. We believe knowledge is power to help every single one of us turn menopause into a positive stage in life, a time to thrive, a second spring."

Menopause Knowledge is a not-for-profit social enterprise founded by Aline Boblin to change the narrative about menopause and empower with knowledge, dispelling myths.

Tickets available at £6.50 each. To book, visit the Eventbrite page.
