Logistics firm meets HRH Princess Royal

Birmingham based logistics provider Simpex Express have recently been invited to meet Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, who was attending the Multimodal Exhibition in her capacity as the Patron of Transaid.

Simpex has supported Transaid’s work for over 5 years, donating at least £1 from every transport movement made.

Their mission is to support these communities by educating drivers and putting emergency transport schemes to transport pregnant mothers with complications as well as helping community health workers reach the families who need them.

Commercial manager Stacy Woodall said: “It was an honour to have been asked and to actually meet HRH Princess Royal, her warmth to everyone in attendance was noted by all that had the opportunity to talk to her. 

“She is an amazing lady, and it was an experience that none of us will forget.”

The international development charity was founded by Save the Children, The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and HRH The Princess Royal.

Transaid is transforming and saving lives through transport by focusing on professional driver training, transport management systems, and rural access to transport, to solve two of the biggest transport challenges in economically developing countries.
