Lichfield venue The Hub at St Mary’s is set to welcome the return of Alex Ohm’s New Sounds - a night of the best new, emerging artists from the Midlands.

Alex and The Rewired Podcast team celebrate the rich variety of up-and-coming music the area has to offer.

This incarnation – on Friday 6 December (8.30pm) - sees the epic sounds of Lydons, Little Juke and The Mucks.

Post-punk/indie five-piece Lydons have been described as the ‘Best upcoming band from the Black Country’.

There’s some real Midlands grit from Little Juke who have set off a pocket rocket with ‘No Illusions’ mixing classical gloriousness with powerful pop-punk, creating a theatrical listening experience.

Recorded at Wolverhampton’s RML Studios, this track not only reflects the bands ever evolving sound but it’s also a tantalising taster of their forthcoming album ‘Departures From the States of Mind.’

Making waves in the indie scene, Coventry band The Mucks are getting incredible feedback for their recently released new single, Polaroid Stripper.

On their way up, their authentic sound is reminiscent of groups, such as Catfish & The Bottlemen, Inhaler, and Gang of Youths and is raw and refined in equal parts.

The Hub creative director Anthony Evans said: “Along with Alex, The Hub loves to support emerging artists and this gig has a great line-up. Find out for yourself – book a ticket now!”

Tickets for the show, priced at £10, are available online or in person from the venue.
