Last chance to apply for Future Faces Mentor Scheme
Future Faces Chamber of Commerce has announced that it is the last chance to apply for the fifth cohort of the Mentoring Scheme.
The Future Faces mentoring scheme supports young professional members to develop their career skills and future business aspirations with a mentor in one-to-one sessions once a month over a six month period, either online or in-person.
Applications will close on Monday 2 December 2024.
The scheme is seeking mentors from a wide range of backgrounds, sectors and industries to support young professionals in the region.
They will have a wealth of experience in sectors such as finance, sales and marketing, start-up and entrepreneurship, education, third-sector, technology and innovation and retail to name but a few – there is also already a significant demand for mentors in the legal sector.
For mentors, the scheme will be an opportunity to give back to the Greater Birmingham business community as well as develop their own skills and share their business insights and knowledge with the next generation of leaders.
As applications come into the scheme the team will be working hard to bring forth a fifth cohort of the mentoring scheme to best match mentors and mentees from across various sectors for the benefit of all.
Tom Bower (pictured), chair of the Future Faces mentoring scheme, said: “This is our final call to apply to the scheme as we look to pair our mentors and mentees together in December.
“We continue to have a lot of interest and sign ups to the programme - especially with the new year just around the corner and as people start to set out their career goals over the next 12 months.
“As always we’re after business leaders from all sectors from across the region to apply to be mentors and support the next generation with their personal development.
“All we ask is for one hour of your time a month for six months and the impact you can make on a young professional will last a lifetime so please volunteer for the mentoring scheme and apply now.”
You can apply to be a mentor or mentee here until Monday 2 December.
