IT experts announce new partnership to bring ‘next level connectivity’ to Burton businesses
IT specialists Mint Technology has launched its use of the Faster Britain network, powered by ITS, to bring full fibre connectivity to local businesses.
This partnership aims to transform the way organisations in the region operate - offering reliable, scalable and high-speed connectivity.
Connecting businesses within Burton’s budding manufacturing industry, the Faster Britain network is helping local providers like Mint connect businesses with cutting-edge infrastructure that not only moves them away from slower speeds but turbocharges present and future operations with a toolkit to use some of the most bandwidth-hungry technology across the production line.
The partnership between Faster Britain’s network and Mint is already benefitting local industry with Mint connecting a local specialist metal manufacturing expert that was previously hindered by inconsistent speeds, frequent outages, and poor customer service.
Before working with Mint Technology, the manufacturer relied on a 100Mbps leased line but faced downtime that lasted over 24 hours at times, bringing their operations to a halt, risking health and safety, and disrupting precision machinery that relies on low latency connections.
Mint Technology, using the Faster Britain network, provided a solution that doubled the manufacturer's bandwidth to 200Mbps on a 1Gbps leased line.
This upgrade has significantly improved operational efficiency, enabling the company to run bandwidth-heavy manufacturing software that’s critical to their precision cutting services.
The Faster Britain network uses inherent XGS-PON fibre technology – proving up to 10Gbps capability. This allows local organisations increase their bandwidth as their connectivity demands grow, without switching providers, or managing costly and disruptive upgrades.
Stuart Lilley, sales director at Mint Technology, said: “The service we receive from ITS sets them apart in the industry.
“When ITS wins, Mint wins, and this partnership ensures Burton businesses get the connectivity they need to succeed.”
Marcus Harrison, Faster Britain ambassador, said: “Our local channel partners are at the heart of our most vibrant networks.
“They understand the locality, are familiar with their customers and know their requirements and demands.
“They give businesses the tools to be competitive and efficient in a global market, helping their customers grow and boosting their own local economy in the process. Mint are a shining example of how our partnerships works for the benefit of Burton.”
