Investment experts name new managing director
EFG Harris Allday, a subsidiary of global private banking group EFG International, has appointed Edward James as its new managing director.
Edward (pictured) will succeed Richard Killingbeck, who has decided to step down after five successful years to pursue other opportunities.
He is responsible for leading and further expanding EFG Harris Allday’s business in the Midlands.
Edward also has been appointed as a member of the management committee of EFG Private Bank Ltd.
Part of his role will be to further increase synergies across the UK business and leverage the wider services and capabilities of EFG.
Prior to joining EFG, Edward James worked at FNZ Group, where he most recently served as CEO of FNZ Asset Management Infrastructure. Prior to that, he held various senior roles at Octopus Investments, Euroclear and Gerrard Asset Management.
In 2011 he also founded EJ Associates, a financial consultancy business.
Edward is now returning to the company, having started his career at Harris Allday Lea & Brooks as a graduate in 1995.
Christian Berchem, CEO of EFG Private Bank Ltd, said: “I am delighted to welcome Edward back to EFG Harris Allday. Having started his career at the company 30 years ago, we are pleased to see him back with the wealth of experience he has built up over many years.
"His depth of industry experience combined with his proven expertise will enable us to scale up our presence and capabilities to support EFG’s growth strategy in the UK. I would also like to take the opportunity to express my personal thanks to Richard Killingbeck for his commitment to EFG Harris Allday over the past five years.
"During this time, he has successfully transformed EFG Harris Allday into a highly respected wealth management business. We wish him the best in all his future endeavours.”
