Insurers spread Valentine’s Day love at Women’s Aid refuge
Solihull-based Howden Insurance is spreading love for Valentine’s Day – with donations of toys and children’s clothes to help women and children at its local Women’s Aid refuge.
The firm is seeking donations of pre-loved children’s clothes in good condition along with toys that are clean and ready for play.
Donors are asked to drop off items at Howden Insurance Solihull, with donations accepted until February 14.
A spokesman for the Solihull group said: “At Howden Insurance Solihull, we’re proud to support our local community by collecting donations of pre-loved children’s clothes and toys for Solihull and Birmingham Women’s Aid Refuge.
“The refuge provides vital support to women and children who have been forced to flee their homes, helping them rebuild their lives in a safe and nurturing environment. Your donations can make a huge difference, offering comfort and care to those in need.
“If you have any items to donate, simply drop them off at our branch in Solihull. We’re accepting donations until 14th February, so there’s plenty of time to have a clear-out and make a meaningful contribution.
“Let’s make Valentine’s Day about more than just hearts and flowers this year—let’s make it about heartwarming acts of kindness that lift up our community.
“Thank you for your support! Together, we can bring a little extra love and hope to those who need it most.
“If you have any questions, feel free to contact our branch. Let’s work together to make this Valentine’s Day truly special for everyone in our community.”
