The growing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) will be in focus at a networking event hosted by the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP) next month.

The breakfast event, taking place on Monday 11 November 8am to 9.30am) at Millennium Point, in Birmingham, will explore the growing impact of AI on the workplace and highlight the urgent need for businesses to prepare for a rapidly changing future.

Under the theme ‘The Game Has Changed: AI and the Future of Work’, the event promises to shed light on the transformative role AI is already playing in knowledge-based industries.

Alex Zarifeh, Trust lead for ‘Futures Readiness’ at the Sutton Coldfield-headquartered ATLP, will discuss the latest capabilities of generative AI, research into real-world, productivity-enhancing use cases, as well as showcasing ATLP's Futures Readiness' programme.

Alex said: “Studies are increasingly showing that the integration of AI into the workplace is no longer a distant prospect but a reality.

“A 2023 Harvard Business School study, in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group, found that consultants using AI tools like ChatGPT completed 12 per cent more tasks, 25 per cent faster, with a 40 per cent improvement in quality.

“Similarly, a study of 5,000 software developers from companies such as Microsoft and Accenture demonstrated a 26 per cent productivity increase when using AI-powered coding tools like GitHub Copilot.”

Attendees of the business networking event will also learn about ATLP’s acclaimed 'Futures Readiness' programme, designed to equip young people with the skills needed to thrive in the evolving world of work.
