More than 200 free warm drinks were served up alongside cupcakes and wellbeing treats as part of Trent & Dove’s White Ribbon Day event held at their offices in Trinity Square, Burton.

The campaign encourages individuals and organisations to make consistent choices and actions to  #ChangeTheStory for women and girls, so that they may live their lives free from the fear of violence.

At the Trent & Dove event, nearly 100 people signed pledge posters in support of the action and had their photograph taken. Attendees also received advice and information from the tenancy sustainment and safeguarding team.

Martyn Hale, neighbourhoods director said: “The feedback we’ve received from customers has been hugely positive with many saying they think it’s great that Trent & Dove deliver events like this and that we have our own coffee trailer!

“I’d like to thank all our staff involved and many of our volunteers who came along to support the event and shared how events like this make them feel included and a part of Trent & Dove, which for me, is what it’s all about.”

Trent & Dove, which owns more 6,500 homes across East Staffordshire, South Derbyshire, and North West Leicestershire, joined the campaign in February and formed a working group, led by support manager Emma Bailey, and sponsored by neighbourhoods director Martyn Hale.
