Businesses are invited to sign up to Birmingham Hospice’s Golf Day event, raising vital funds for the city’s local hospice.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Edgbaston Golf Club—ranked among the top three courses in Warwickshire—the event next year promises a day of both challenge and reward on one of the region's finest parkland courses.

Taking place on Friday, 30 May 2025, the Golf Day is dedicated to fostering business connections while supporting the vital care provided by the hospice’s expert teams.

The event invites golf enthusiasts, businesses and individuals who share a passion for networking and a commitment to Birmingham Hospice's mission to provide compassionate end-of-life care for all communities.

Golfers will enjoy breakfast rolls on arrival, followed by a full 18 holes of golf. Throughout the day, refreshments will be provided, culminating in a post-game BBQ, an awards ceremony and engaging golf-themed activities.

Luke Manley, corporate fundraising manager at Birmingham Hospice, said: “We're absolutely delighted that we are hosting our very first corporate golf day for Birmingham Hospice. By inviting local companies and business professionals to join us at such a prestigious golf club, we're not only improving our ability to make every moment matter for those facing terminal illness, but also developing a platform for meaningful connections and collaborations among like-minded individuals and organisations.”

Not only is the team looking for businesses and individuals who would like to book places, there are also plenty of opportunities to purchase sponsorship packages, such as a headline sponsor for the event.

Luke added: “We also hope to be raising the profile of Birmingham Hospice and generating income to protect us against our ongoing funding crisis which has recently seen us reduce 14 per cent of our workforce and we are currently facing a £2.4 million deficit. If we could raise just £6,307, this could pay for someone to have round-the-clock expert palliative and end of life care on one of our Inpatient Units.”

Each year, after NHS funding, the hospice needs to raise at least £6.5 million from voluntary donations. Money raised from the event will go towards providing expert and compassionate care, ensuring people living with a terminal diagnosis die comfortably and with dignity.

Early bird tickets are currently available until Thursday 14th November at £99 per person.
