Burton Albion Community has renewed its partnership with Holiday Inn Express Burton & Ibis Styles Burton, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the local community.

This renewed partnership will see the hotels providing vital support to BACT Disability Teams, ensuring continued opportunities for individuals with disabilities to engage in football and benefit from the power of sport.

The hotels are committed to making a positive impact in the local community through various initiatives and partnerships.

By renewing its partnership with Burton Albion Community Trust, the hotel aims to support inclusive sports programmes that enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Both hotels will also support the Able Too Albion Juniors Football programme, which caters to children aged 6-12 and 12-16.

These football sessions offer a platform for those with disabilities to participate in football and connect with others who share their passion for the game.

In addition to supporting the Able Too Albion Juniors, they will also support Burton Albion's Cerebral Palsy Football Teams. Established in 2023 and offering inclusive football sessions for individuals with specific needs.

The Cerebral Palsy Football Team caters to individuals looking to engage in football at various levels.

The team offers social sessions and the chance to compete in the National Cerebral Palsy Football League.

Head of community John Widdowson said “We're extremely grateful to Holiday Inn Express & Ibis Styles Burton for their continued support.

“This support will cover costs such as purchasing specialist equipment, league and event entry fees, and providing prizes and trophies for end-of-season celebrations.”

General manager of Holiday Inn Express & Ibis Styles Burton on Trent, Alan Northern, said “It is a pleasure to once again support the BACT in their programmes for 2025.

“They have a tremendous positive impact on the local community and we are delighted to work with them for a further year, in opening up sporting opportunities to individuals who may not otherwise have had this chance in life”
