Health and safety experts launch new online training platform

A health and safety company has added a new string to their bow by launching a brand-new E-learning platform.

Health and Safety Secure’s new E-learning package gives clients access to 75 training courses ranging from Asbestos Awareness and Performance Management to Anti-Bribery and Food Safety and Hygiene.

And members of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce are being offered the chance to sign up to the portal at a discounted price between now and the end of January. *  Access to the on-line training platform is competitively priced per user.

The E-Learning system which uses specialist Health and Safety Management Software, offers a complete training matrix which has the ability to track training and attendance records so that organisations can build a comprehensive record for each team member.

Company director and owner Chris Wrapson (pictured) said: “Up until now the training and advice we deliver is onsite and face to face with the businesses we work with.

“Face to face training of course has its place and is essential for some businesses but I wanted to expand our training offer. I wanted to give organisations the opportunity to have the convenience of training their staff on-line and not just in person.

 “The platform is a completely comprehensive E-learning suite which will enable employers to invest in their staff’s learning to promote a safety-first culture. It will also ensure that employers fulfil their duty under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974.

 “Let’s not forget that failing to provide adequate health and safety training for employees poses significant risks to employers, potentially leading to accidents, legal liabilities, and reputational damage. Untrained staff are more likely to make mistakes that can result in workplace injuries as well as costly fines for non-compliance with regulations.

“Employers have a legal and ethical responsibility to ensure their workforce is equipped with the knowledge and skills to work safely and this training will really help them do that. We have already started rolling out the on-line training and feedback has been fantastic.
