Grammar School reveals details of annual golf day
Plans for a popular annual golf day, hosted by Bishop Vesey Grammar School (BVGS), have been revealed by event organisers.
The annual event, hosted by BVGS, will take place once again this year at partners Walmley Golf Club on Friday 25 June.
Twenty teams of four will be available at just £300, inclusive of breakfast on arrival and an evening meal.
The format will remain as a shotgun start with a 11.30am-12pm arrival for a tee-off at 1pm.
The event will culminate with an evening meal starting between 6-7pm and ending at approximately 8.30pm.
A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available for the day. With the shotgun start format, those sponsoring holes will tee off from the hole they are sponsoring, with the holes priced accordingly in terms of proximity to the clubhouse.
Brian Davies, development director and deputy director of sport at BVGS, said: "We are delighted to be able to advertise our sixth annual school golf day, which will be held at Walmley Golf Club on Friday 25 June.
With last years competition having to be cancelled, and fingers crossed, all of the current restrictions ending a few days prior to the event, we are very excited to welcome all guests to a fabulous day of golf, food, drinks and networking with the Vesey community."
Due to the exceptional levels of support received in recent years, BVGS have been able to make significant improvements to the sports provision at the school, generating nearly £30,000 for BVGS Sport.
These funds have had a huge impact on increased staffing and enabling the PE department to offer a better quality and quantity of provision to their students.
Through their Corporate Partnership programme and a few early bookings, ten teams have already been taken. Players are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
